We are increasing the number of musicians - a quintet, a sextet… what can we expect from that? Greater wealth of means of expression, more graceful musical labyrinths, unexpected finds and combinations.
Mozart’s string quintets are the opuses that he probably wrote with the greatest pleasure and dedication. The Master, when he serves and plays with his genius, is ten times the Master. The joy of the thoughts, of the complexity of the thoughts - and the virtuosic easy presentation of them - here is the joy for the one who quietly listens and follows the free play of the composer. Schoenberg’s string sextet is an unfolding romantic panorama of a feeling, traced in its vicissitudes - step by step we will hear, even see, the sublime poem of Richard Dehmel, which became the literary basis of the composition. The change of the finest string colors, their mixing, the various sound “strokes” seduce the listener with their richness and variability. And this is only the fourth opus of the young self-taught artist!
