Elizabeth Gekova

Elizabeth Gekova, born in 2006, took her first violin lesson at the age of 6 with the music teacher Blagorodna Taneva, in whose class at NMS “Lyubomir Pipkov”, Sofia studies until now. She was awarded in many national and international competitions. Some of her most significant achievements are: “Szymon Goldberg”, Germany “Leonid Kogan”, Belgium, “Hope, talents, masters”, “Prof. Nedyalka Simeonova”, “The Sound of Time”, “Music and the Earth“. 

She is a scholarship recipient of MC, the Yordan Kamdzhalov Foundation and the American Foundation for Bulgaria. She is the recipient of the annual scholarship named after Petar Arnaudov 2021-2022.Elizabeth has worked with world-renowned violin pedagogues such as Prof. Dora Schwartzberg, Prof. Pavel Vernikov, Prof. Midori, Prof. Dmitry Berlinsky, Prof. Michael Frischenschlager, Prof. Albena Danailova, Prof. Svetlin Rousseau, Mila Georgieva, Prof. Sergey Malov and others. She actively participates in chamber music, working with various ensembles with which he enjoys great success.

Elizabeth has performed in concerts in Vienna, Geneva, Rome, Sofia and many others. She was a soloist with various orchestras in the country.
