What a concert – an apotheosis of youth and inspiration! One of the brightest young violinists, Dmytro Udovychenko, will perform for the first time in Bulgaria. Winner of the international competitions Queen Elisabeth (2024), Montreal (2023), and Singapore (2022), he has been praised by critics for his “exceptional combination of technical virtuosity and profound emotional depth,” capable of bringing even the most complex works vividly to life.

He will be joined by the audience favorite pianist Emanuil Ivanov, the talented young European musicians Paul Ziantara (viola) and Barna Károly (cello), as well as Allegra’s beloved performers Simone Gramaglia (viola) and Petar Naydenov (double bass).

The star ensemble will perform Mendelssohn’s Sextet in D major, Op. 110, composed by the prodigy at just fifteen years old. The work bears all the hallmarks of Mendelssohn’s early genius – perfect form, melodic freshness, and heartfelt expressiveness: the first movement radiates vitality and youthful passion, the second enchants with romantic lyricism, the scherzo is airy and playful, and the finale is brilliant and dance-like, a prelude to the mature composer.

A special gift for Allegra’s friends is the Piano Quintet by Emanuil Ivanov, created exclusively for this concert – witness the world premiere of this work by the talented pianist and composer.
